Adriano Piu was born in Cervignano del Friuli in 1954, he currently lives in and works from Borgo Antico di Chiarmacis, in Rivignano-Teor (Udine),  Friuli.

Dedicated to painting since he was a child, Piu has done personal exhibitions honing in on his own expression in the 70s.

In the nineties his painting focuses on forms, signs and matter and so he created his first sculptures, a result of his intense passion in shaping materials, (iron, corten, aluminum, bronze, stainless steel and wood), his constant experimentation eventually led him to focus on stainless steel sculptures.   In this period he participated in international exhibitions and various Art Fairs in Europe and the United States, including Artexpo 90 in New York, where he met the owner of Freme’s Gtory, Knokke Zoute, with whom he collaborated for three years.  This also marks the beginning of an intense collaboration with important European gtories (Swiss, German, Belgian and French).  At this time his works became part of private and public collections.

He became more well known in nearby Switzerland, where he began his collaboration with the gtorist Jansen of the Sacchetti gtory in Ascona (Switzerland). This period saw his participation in a series of solo exhibitions in various gtories and institutions throughout northern Europe.

After this intense time abroad, Piu also looks for space in his native Italy.

Among many others he exhibited his works in the prestigious Villa Manin in Passariano.
